The risk, change in value, and operation of the three assets differ significantly. The purpose of the comparison is to illustrate what scale of rental revenue may be achieved with different levels of starting capital.
We compare a long-term rental apartment, a garage, and a used vehicle rented out to others. In all three cases, revenue is generated by renting out a physical asset.
In this example, vehicle rental may generate significant revenue with less starting capital; however, unlike real estate, a car will typically depreciate.
The future returns and price movements of financial assets depend on many economic, interest-rate, corporate, and other factors, so a direct comparison would be misleading.
The comparison primarily illustrates that vehicle rental can generate meaningful rental revenue with substantially less starting capital.

The estimated daily rental rate starts with the selected vehicle category. It is then adjusted based on the car's age, market value, and equipment level. Estimated monthly revenue is the daily rate multiplied by the selected number of rental days per month.
For the payback calculation, the monthly Qber subscription cost is allocated across the selected rental days. We then estimate approximately how many rental days of revenue could cover the one-time cost of Qber Remote.
*The amounts shown in the calculator are estimates for informational purposes only and do not constitute guaranteed income or a promise of return. Actual income is affected by a number of factors, including demand, the vehicle’s condition, location, equipment, seasonality, pricing and actual utilization.
**The calculation above is a simplified comparison for informational purposes only and does not constitute guaranteed income or a promise of yield or return. For changes in value, we have assumed an annual increase of +2.5% for the apartment and garage and an annual decrease of −6% for the used vehicle; these are not guaranteed future values. Actual income and results may be affected by a number of factors, including demand, the asset’s condition, location, equipment, seasonality, pricing and actual utilization.
***The calculation does not include differences in costs arising from individual tax circumstances, insurance, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, depreciation or external services. For either property or vehicle rentals, no general flat-rate cost allowance can be determined in advance that would be reliably applicable in every case, so including one in the model would largely be based on assumptions
